I was very disappointed in this seat, it does not suction at all to the bottom of the tub, which really defeats the purpose of the seat. I did not realize when I ordered it that it was shipping from England--when I decided to return the item, the seller gave me the address but I am paying for shipping even though the item is defective--over $20 to send it back! And that is the slowest possible USPS return service. I won't be ordering anything else from Hello Baby.

I'm a mom of 7 children ages 6 months to 16 years. Needless to say I have tried many baby seats for the tub over the years. This one is great. I'm always worried when ordering online since you can't touch the item to see how well it is made. I have a very fat little one and there is plenty of room. ALL bath seats have a slippery seat but this one has a bigger front bar between the legs to try and help with the comfort issue. Worst case for a little boy wrap a hand towel around the bar for cushion. I have done that in the past. Overall I am very happy with my purchase and wanted to leave a post for mommys and daddys to know that this is a great buy.

I really wanted this bath seat for my 7 month old daughter, its cute has toys looks sturdy and the reviews are positive for it. But on closer inspection, I see that the wieght limit for the seat is only 20 lbs. My daughter already weighs 21.5lbs and shes no where near 'over-weight'. The specifications on the seat say 6 months + and up to 20 lbs. My first daughter was a year old before she hit 20 lbs, but plenty of babies are just as big as my 2nd daughter and therefore wouldn't be able to use this seat EXCEPT in their 6th month!! If you have petit children though, it is probably a good product...

It does everything it should, and the price is right.
Easy one-hand open (see picture), very stable in the tub and easy to release, plenty of room for the baby (mine is a chubby one - not a problem), great colors (yellow) and fun toys for the baby.
Cons I could think of: The seat itself is somewhat slippery. I imagine it can become uncomfortable for boys. The toy accumulates a lot of water. You need to empty it properly after bath (just hold the seat upside down for a few seconds)
Feel free to ask if you have any questions.

Before I purchased this seat, I read-over all the reviews. Upon receiving the seat, I messed around with it quite a bit to "test" the most common complaints. There are a few funny quirks with it, but I think a majority of the complaints are due to improper use or unrealistic expectations. This seat is the best bath seat on the market; the only legitimate "issues" it has are issues that would be shared with most any bath seat because of the general nature of restraining a floating child. I'm going to addess the most common complaints based on my experience.
1. The seat can float and it moves or doesn't stick: Well, sort of. If you stick the seat to the tub and then fill the tub with water, it traps air under the seat, which can break the force of the suction cups and make the seat float. However, if you partially fill the tub before putting the seat in, you trap much less air underneath and it sticks just fine. Once the air is out, the seat barely moves at all. If... Read more

This is a good bath seat, provided your child can fit in it. My little super chunk weighs 20 lbs and the seat sort of pinches his thighs due to the narrow leg openings. This happens regardless of where I position his bottom (towards the back of the seat or more forward doesn't seem to matter) -- his thighs are that enormous. It's really quite impressive now that I think of it. No wonder everyone asks if they can squeeze them all the time. And here I thought that's how strangers say hello to babies.
In any case, Chubby McTalks-a-Lot doesn't seem to mind it since sitting up is totally the bee's knees right now. The upright position allows him to take in all the wonders of bath time, from splashing to rubber duckies. And oh dear lord does he love him some rubber duckies!
The rest of the seat is quite open and allows for reaching, twisting, and all the squirming your little tike can muster. And to chime in with the other posters, it REALLY IS a pain to have... Read more

Not an amazing product but it certainly solved our "We sit down in the bath tub" problem when our little one insisted on standing everywhere even though he had no balance or sense of fear. The plastic isn't very comfortable and the edges can be tough on a little naked body. The toys don't do anything and the suction isn't that great (the suction cups will even pop off) but baby's weight will keep it in place. Again, not amazing but very helpful considering the other options out there - and there really aren't any. If you're wanting a basic restraint to help out with a dangerous wiggler, this seat is fine.
